We stayed 1 night at Cocorone on Jan 24, 2009. Akio arrived Usami JR station on time at 4:30pm to pick up us. Cocorone is about 5 mins drive from the JR station. We arrived this beautiful blue color pension and welcomed by Yuki in the bar for check-in.
Located in Usami near the sea coast. We can see the beautiful sunset during check-in. We can choose two different free aroma oil to mix up a small bottle to use inside our room. We chose the excellent Lavender and Lemongrass.
The alfonsino in the dinner is excellent. All other food in dinner and breakfast is very tasty and healthy.
The outdoor onsen is excellent. Can see the beautiful stars at the night and the beautiful sea in the morning.
I can also use WLAN for my iPhone to check emails. Perfect.
When we leave on Jan 25, Yuki drove us to the Usami JR station. Total hospitality. Thanks.

[Jogasaki-kaigan]
The deeply-indented coastline from making by eruption of Mt. Omuro. Thousands of capes have unique names each, try to check them.
The famous cable suspension bridge spanning over the ocean. 48 meters long and 23 meters above the sea level. You can enjoy the panoramic blue sea and a thrilling moment with briny air.

[Mt. Omuro]
Mt. Omuro (Omuroyama) is one of the volcanoes that are located in central part of Izu Peninsula. Unbelievably, it has not erupted for five thousand years. Historically speaking, the existence of the spirit that will fulfill any kind of wish has been believed for a long time. The beloved spirit has been adored by all the residents residing in the vicinity.
The top hollows like a mortar, and has a crater 70 meters deep, 300 merters accross, and 1000 meters around. The mountain lines is kind of a hiking course, the view of the sea, mountains and the nature are spectacular. Especially the Izu-oshima, the Amagi mountain ranges and Shuho-fuji mountain, and in the sunny days, it's possible to see the Japanese South Alps.
It has been taken the mountain-burning event on the second Sunday in every Feburary, and it's broadcasted on TV.
