This Dazzling
gate, highlighted in red and gold, is remarkably conspicuous among
the gates in Chinatown. "Zenrin" literally means friendship
between neighboring families or countries.

Gates to
Chinatown, built based on the Chinese horoscope, are called Pairo.
There are ten including Zenrin-Mon Gate and Saiyo-Mon Gate situated
at the exit of Chinatown on the side of Ishikawa-cho. Guardian Deities
of colors and directions of the principles of Yin and Yang are situated
in the North, South, East, and West (Deity Genbu in the North, Deity
Suzaku in the South, Deity Seiryu in the East, and Deity Byakko in
the West). These Deities are enshrined in Genbu-Mon Gate(North), Suzaku-Mon
Gate(South), Choyo-Mon Gate(East), and Enpei-Mon Gate(West). The other
ones are Tencho-Mon Gate, Chikyu-Mon Gate on the Kanteibyo Street,
and a pair of Ichiba Dori-Mon Gates on the Ichiba Dori Street.
